Classes

Heartsaver is designed to  teach students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. The skills covered in this course include Adult, Child, and Infant CPR. Also first aid; choking relief in infants, children, and adults.

• Medical emergencies
• Injury emergencies
• Environmental emergencies
• Preventing illness and injury
• Adult CPR and AED use
• Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
• Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

BLS is designed for students going into or are already in the medical field of some sort. The BLS certification course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.   

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants 
• The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
• Use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a bag valve mask (BVM)
• Team multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for infants, children, and adults. 

 All courses/training follow American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and result in CPR certification/re-certification (with either certificates or official CPR cards).
